Golf Courses in Hong Kong

It isn’t hard to find golf courses in Hong Kong, it is however tough to find public golf courses in Hong Kong that will let you in. While the city has an absolute glut of golf courses, they’re almost all private member clubs.Luckily, many of the private clubs do open their doors at certain times, although green fees can be exorbitant. Below are listings of private clubs that allow the public through their doors and Hong Kong’s only public course.
Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course :-
The only public golf course in Hong Kong, was created with funds donated by The Hong Kong Jockey Club to meet the growing demand for golf in the region.Located along the rugged coastline of Kau Sai Chau within the scenic port shelter area, the three 18-hole golf courses; the North and South Courses designed by the legendary Gary Player, and Nelson and Haworth designed East Course offer challenging golf in a spectacular setting with sweeping views of Sai Kung and the South China Sea.Set in the Sai Kung Peninsula, Kau Sai Chau has become an environmental sanctuary. Golfers share its 250 hectares with eagles, egrets, and pond herons, as well as the occasional barking deer.

The Hong Kong Golf Club at Deepwater Bay :-
Deep Water Bay is situated on the south side of Hong Kong Island 5 minutes from the Aberdeen Tunnel. No. 260, 6A and 6X buses run from the terminal in Exchange Square and stop at Admiralty and pass Deep Water Bay, but the easiest way to reach the Club is by taxi.Visitors are welcome Monday to Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. One or two balls permitted only. Visitors are advised to call the Club before visiting to confirm availability of starting times and to pre book a golf lesson if this is required.The Club has extensive dining facilities offering both Chinese & Western menus. The Verandah overlooks the golf course and is a perfect spot for lunch or snacks after a game.

The Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club :-
A stunning setting on the tip of the Clearwater Bay Peninsula in the New Territories, the clubs 18 holes are open at all times to non members, although at HK$2000 a round, it doesn’t come cheap. There is a marina and helicopter pad on site for those who want to make a dramatic entry. www.cwbgolf.
